BAIA DEL TONO BEACH MILAZZO

If you make the mistake of only coming to Milazzo to take the hydrofoil and leave for the Aeolian Islands without even taking a dip in the waters of this ancient town, you will be missing out on the beauty that this area has to offer. Capo Milazzo divides the coast into two, in which the western part is the most suitable for swimming.

The beach is made up of a long stretch of gravel stones, so ensure you have good walking shoes.

Milazzo is also one of the best places for diving and exploration of Tyrrhenian Sicily.  The underwater world is spectacular, with many fish, crustaceans, octopus and seahorses dwelling in the area.

A popular tourist attraction is the Piscina di Venere, a small natural pool formed between impressive rocks where you can swim, as well as watching the waves crash against them in a thrilling show.

TONNARELLA BEACH

Tonnarella is a small Sicilian seaside town located between Terme Vigliatore and Porto Rosa, a famous tourist resort. Mostly frequented by natives, Tonnarella still preserves an intact and mostly public beach, set in the scenery of the Gulf of Milazzo, and offers the splendid panorama of the Aeolian islands: Vulcano, Panarea, Lipari, Salina, Stromboli, Alicudi and Filicudi; all in a row and clearly visible on clear days. Warm and clean water from June to September. The patronal feast, the second Sunday of August, is an unforgettable event that stems from sacred traditions and is enjoyed under a carpet of fireworks.
