CONTRADA CRIZZINA COMPANY

The “Contrada Crizzina” is a village in the municipality of Castroreale in the province of Messina, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The homonymous farm was born in November 2017 from the dream of two brothers who, after having lived most of their life in Milan, the city to which they owe the birth, education and most important friends, but also where stress is part integral to everyday life, they decide to retrace their origins to pursue the desire for a slow and genuine life in contact with the earth and with the countless biodiversity that only an island, Sicily, is able to offer. Contrada Crizzina is located along the provincial road 85 on the west side of the town of Castroreale, immediately before the suggestive Palano bridge that crosses the Crizzina river; it consists of 8 hectares of land, mostly left to spontaneous vegetation, entirely observable from the famous Piazza della Candelora di Castroreale. The company’s philosophy is based on variety, natural times and respect for plants and all living beings that inhabit it. All activities take place in the “Feud” of Contrada Crizzina, where it is possible to find the apiary and organic gardens, spontaneous plants and protected species, domestic animals and indigenous wildlife.
